Our Story

Every Moment Led to You

Picture of Every Moment Led to You

From the moment we spoke on the phone, we knew we had something rare. Every conversation felt effortless, every laugh felt familiar, and we couldn’t wait to meet in person. When the day finally arrived, we went to a paint-and-sip and then enjoyed dinner together in Times Square. I scooted next to him in the booth while we waited for our table, and we’ve never sat apart since. That moment, simple and perfect, set the tone for everything that followed.

I barely go to New Jersey. He rarely comes to New York. And yet, somehow, we found each other anyway. We weren’t looking for just another friend—we were looking for something real and long-lasting, someone to witness our lives and walk beside us through life's ups and downs.

Our relationship unfolded naturally, with deep conversations, shared dreams, and trust in perfect timing. Every laugh, every mile between us, every moment led to this—we found home in each other.

This is our story: a love that is patient, intentional, and certain—a love that makes you believe that when it’s meant to be, nothing can keep two people apart.

Registry

We are so grateful for your love and support as we begin this next chapter of our lives together. After thoughtful consideration, we have decided to forgo traditional physical gifts. Instead, for those who wish to honor us with a gift, we warmly invite you to contribute to our house and/or honeymoon fund. Your generosity will help us build our home and create meaningful memories as we start our married life. For your convenience, a card box will also be available at the wedding for anyone who prefers to bring a card or a monetary gift. Thank you for your kindness and for being part of such a special season in our lives. Your thoughtfulness is truly appreciated.

Bridesmaids

Sabrina Jenkins
Sabrina Jenkins - Matron of Honor
As the bride’s “little sister,” Sabrina has been part of her heart and her story since she was just six years old. Together they’ve grown, celebrated milestones, and lifted each other up, creating a bond rooted in love, laughter, and unwavering support. She has been a steady source of strength, holding the bride up through life’s challenges—even when giving up seemed easiest. She cheers the loudest, smiles the brightest, and cries the hardest for her. There is no way the bride would be standing here today without her unwavering love and support. Having her by her side on this day feels as natural as the sisterhood they built long before it ever had a name.
Deyanira Guerrero
Deyanira Guerrero - Bridesmaid
Deyanira is the bride’s best friend—the one who has stood by her with unwavering love and support. They met while teaching at the same school and became fast friends, sharing laughter, late-night conversations, and adventures during school breaks. Years ago, they sat side by side making vision boards, dreaming of moments just like this. She’s not only the friend who shows up—she’s the friend who prays for you, believes in you, and brings faith and joy into every season of life. The bride’s heart is full knowing she’ll be by her side on this day, just as she has been all along.
Kecia Amey
Kecia Amey - Bridesmaid
For more than ten years, Kecia has been one of the bride’s closest and most cherished friends. They’ve shared so many chapters of life together—growing, learning, and even working side by side when she was once the bride’s boss. Through every change, their bond has only deepened. Their friendship is the kind that truly stands the test of time, filled with love, loyalty, and laughter. She affectionately (and jokingly) refers to the bride as her “god-daughter.” Having her by the bride’s side on this special day feels like a beautiful continuation of the friendship they hold so dear.
Sharon Smikle
Sharon Smikle - Bridesmaid
Sharon is the groom's sisters—the one who has shown up wholeheartedly, every step of the way. Always smiling, with a knack for making everyone feel welcome and cared for, she has the best hugs that instantly make you feel loved. From touring venues together to grabbing the mirror for quick touch-ups during the engagement shoot, she has supported the couple with love, care, and her ever-present warmth. She has also embraced the bride’s side of the family with open arms, making everyone feel cherished. The bride affectionately calls her “Beloved,” and that is exactly what she is: a beloved sister, person, and friend. The bride’s heart is overflowing with joy knowing that soon she’ll get to call her officially her sister.
Denise Lopez-Smikle
Denise Lopez-Smikle - Bridesmaid
Denise may be one of the groom’s older sisters, but she has always been so much more—his second mom, his protector, and one of his earliest cheerleaders. From signing him up for extracurriculars to fostering his love of basketball through after-school programs and youth leagues, she helped shape the man he is today. And her support didn’t stop in his youth. She has lovingly supported the couple throughout their proposal and engagement—even helping the groom choose the perfect ring. Her caring, generous spirit shines in everything she does, always putting others before herself. She has helped make this day possible. It is with so much love and gratitude that the bride has her by her side on this special day.
Ingrid Smikle
Ingrid Smikle - Bridesmaid
Ingrid is the groom’s oldest sister—there the very day he was born, and truly, she’s never left his side since. A devoted and supportive big sister, she has embraced the couple with that same love. She helped bring the proposal to life by decorating the hotel room and later braved the cold during their engagement shoot, standing by them with warmth and encouragement. Her presence has been a constant blessing, and the bride couldn’t imagine this special day without her. Being a big sister herself, the bride is relieved to finally put the torch down and become a little sister, excited to gain her as a sister at heart.
Jazmine Smikle
Jazmine Smikle - Jr. Bridesmaid
Jazzy is 16 years old and a straight-A high school student with big dreams of becoming a veterinarian. She’s balancing school, her first job at a boba shop, and an active lifestyle—she runs track and field, with shot put being her sport of choice, and even finds time to play the flute. On weekends, Jazzy is busy learning to drive, all while keeping her signature enthusiasm and dedication in everything she does. She brings energy, warmth, and a big heart to our wedding day, and we’re so excited to have her by our side.

Thank you so much, and we can’t wait to gather together in celebration.

What time should I arrive?

We kindly ask that guests arrive and be seated by 1:30 PM.

Are children invited to the wedding?

While we love your little ones dearly, our wedding will be a child-free event, with only the children involved in the ceremony in attendance. We know weddings can be a long day for young children, and we hope this gives parents the chance to fully enjoy the celebration. Thank you so much for your understanding.

Can I bring a plus-one?

Plus-ones have been thoughtfully noted on the RSVP cards. If your card indicates a plus-one, you’re welcome to bring a guest. If not, we kindly ask that you attend on your own. Thank you so much for understanding and for helping us make our day special—we truly appreciate your love and support.

Where are you registered?

We’re not registered for traditional gifts. Instead, we’ve set up a house and honeymoon fund on our wedding website. If you were hoping to give, we would truly appreciate contributions through the site as we build our home and plan our first adventure together. We will also have a card box at the reception for any cards or cash contributions. Thank you so much for your generosity and support—it means the world to us.

Can I bring a gift to the wedding?

We are truly grateful to celebrate this special day with you and sincerely appreciate your generosity. A card box will also be available at the wedding for anyone who prefers to bring a card or monetary gift. Thank you for your kindness and support—it means so much to us.

Will the ceremony and reception be held at the same location?

Yes! We’re grateful to celebrate both our ceremony and reception at the same venue—Hanover Manor in East Hanover, New Jersey—so our guests can relax and enjoy the day without traveling between locations. We can’t wait to celebrate with you there.

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

The celebration will be held indoors in a fully air-conditioned space. Since it’s a July wedding, we wanted to make sure everyone stays comfortable and can enjoy the day without worrying about the summer heat.

Is parking available?

Yes! Both valet and self-parking are available on site for your convenience. We want your experience to be as relaxed and enjoyable as possible.
